Obituary - Lemma M. Gilliam, 93, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Crest Park Nursing Home.
She was born May 4, 1919 at Lunsford to the late Lonnie and Sallie McGuffin. She was an active member of the Nettleton United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, worked as a clerk and owned Gilliam Bookkeeping and Tax Service for forty years. She was active with her community and Nettleton School.
Survivors include a daughter, Robbie Joy Fink of Wynne; a son, Larry Glen Gilliam of Niland, CA; a sister, Julia M. Catts of Kenniwick, WA; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Gilliam; two daughters, Carol J. Gilliam and Sallie J. Carter; a granddaughter, Madeline Forbs; a grandson, Lee Forbs; nine brothers and sisters.
A celebration of her life will be Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave. with Rev. Harmon Whitehurst and Rev. George Fink officiating with burial at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Randy Marr, Barry Owen, Ryan Presley, Chad Fink, Lonnie King and Josha Carter.
