Mabel Inez Jackson, 57, widow of the late Grover Jackson, died Dec 29, 1966 at Marvel, AR where she had been residing a year. She was born to John and Lucinda Hardin Akins on Jan 3, 1913. Services were held Wednesday at Etowah Baptist Church where she had been a member. Carl Appling officiated. The burial was held in Garden Point Cemetery with Murphy Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born in Paulding, MO, Mrs Jackson had lived the greater part of her life in AR. She leaves one son, Jerry Haley Akins of Marvel, AR, one brother, Wert Akins of Mena, AR and one sister, Mrs Odie Yarbro of Blytheville, AR, and two grandchildren. JS
