Death Claims Gilbert Otis
Reed Corners — Gilbert C. Otis, 53, died unexpectedly in his farm home Tuesday (July 8, 1947). A member of Reed Corners Grange, he was well known in this area where he delivered the Sunday Democrat and Chronicle to rural patrons in many towns.
Born in Perry a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Otis, he resided with his parents for a time in East Bloomfield and of late years was a Reed Corners resident.
Mr. Otis and his wife, the former Helen Steele of East Bloomfield, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a gathering at their home last June 22.
Besides his widow he leaves a daughter, Miss Jeanne Otis of Rochester; a sister, Mrs. Herbert Langmaid of Reed Coiners, and two brothers, Roy and Clayton Otis of Rochester.
Funeral will be at 2 p. m. tomorrow in the Congregational Church at Reed Corners, with burial in East Bloomfield Cemetery.
