He is likely not the William bp in Snaith 1698 b/c a WIlliam from Snaith had a dau. Elizabeth in 1739 who also died in 1739. One wouldn’t have a dau. in 1724 named Eliz and then later name another dau. Elizabeth in 1739.

Parish Records for baptisms in Mappleton only go back to 1711 so it could be that our WIlliam was baptised there and the records justnhaven’t been made available online yet.
