Obit: Inez Edwards, 95 of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Greene Acres Nursing Home.
Mrs. Edwards was born on July 1, 1919, in Greene County, Arkansas.
She was a talented seamstress and quilt maker. She was an avid gardener who delighted in preserving vegetables that she grew and she loved to fish. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church. She was a member of the Walcott Baptist Church and taught a Sunday School Class there for many years before moving to Paragould.
Survivors include: her daughter, Laura Jean Diggs, son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Linda Edwards all of Paragould, two brothers, Elvis Street of Paragould, Luther Street of Joplin, Missouri, a sister, Almas Freeman of St. Louis, Missouri, two grandchildren, Bryan (Nancy) Garmroth of Moore, South Carolina, Beth (Dale) Miller of Paragould, four great-grandchildren, Austin, Kevin, Kyle and Anna Miller and one great-great-grandchild, and Gavyn Miller.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Lucy Street, her husband of 59 years, Lealon Edwards, brothers, Cletis Street, Roy Street, Weldon Street, sisters, Leona Street, Idella Cushion and Pauline Street.
Services were at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
