Notes for Christopher Bannister
Perhaps from Banbury, Oxford. A carpenter who settled at Marlborough and had property there in 1657. Christopher Bannister's name appears in the colonial records of Marlborough. In 1663 he was on a list giving rates to pay for the minister . In property he had 16 acres of house lot, 4 acres upland, 8 acres of the first division of meadowland, 6.5 in the second division, and 8 rods of cedar swamp.

Christopher Banister’s house lot was on the north of John Ruddocke’s, and bounded on the east by the Indian Line, being near the old John Gleason place.
