Notes for Jarvis Macomber Skinner Jr.
From find-a-grave: After the 1875 death of his first wife, Martha Bannister, Jarvis married 11 Feb 1878 Emma Dewhurst Cook, recently divorced from her first husband. Emma had come from New York City with the help of Milton Cook's sister, Mary Cook Russ Powers, who lived in Van Buren County, Michigan.
Jarvis had five children by his first marriage, and two more daughters with Emma. Some time between 1880 and 1890 Emma and Jarvis moved to Jarvis' home town of Albion, NY, and they remained there until Emma's death in 1895. Emma is buried in the Skinner family plot. Jarvis then returned to Michigan.
